Republic Day marks the adoption of India's constitution and the country's transition to a republic on January 26, 1950. Every year, the celebrations marking the day feature spectacular military and cultural pageantry. In New Delhi, armed forces personnel march along the Kartavya Path in an elaborate display of military might. The epic show on Kartavya Path eclipses everything else happening across the country on this auspicious day.
The celebrations, inaugurated with a grand parade, are held in the capital, New Delhi, from Raisina Hill near the Rashtrapati Bhavan (President's House), along the Kartavya Path, past India Gate, and onto the historic Red Fort. On this day, ceremonious parades take place at the Kartavya Path, which is performed as a tribute to India, its unity in diversity, and its rich cultural heritage by the states of India by building beautiful tableaus.
The theme for the tableaux at the Republic Day Parade 2024 has been decided as 'เคญाเคฐเคค - เคฒोเคเคคंเคค्เคฐ เคी เคฎाเคคृเคा (เคเคจเคจी) / Bharat - The Mother of Democracy.
On 26th January 2024, the Government College of Teacher Education celebrated the 75th Republic Day with great enthusiasm and patriotism. The event took place in the college premises, where the students, faculty, and staff gathered to mark the occasion.
The celebration commenced with the hoisting of the national flag by the principal in the presence of all the attendees. The tricolor flag fluttered proudly atop the flagpole, symbolizing the unity and sovereignty of the nation.
To showcase the diverse culture and heritage of India, students were dressed in traditional attire of different states in India. They presented various cultural performances such as folk dances, songs representing their respective states.The performances were appreciated by the audience and added a vibrant atmosphere to the celebration.
In addition to the cultural performances, the college had organized various competitions related to Republic Day.The winners of these competitions were felicitated with prizes by the principal and teachers. This gesture not only encouraged the students' participation but also recognized their efforts and talents.
The 75th Republic Day celebration at the Government College of Teacher Education was a memorable and meaningful event, fostering a sense of pride and patriotism among the students and faculty. It served as a reminder of the sacrifices made by our freedom fighters and the progress India has achieved over the past 75 years.
